Project: South-East Queensland Travel Survey 2011 (SEQ TravelSmart Evaluation After Surveys)

Client: Queensland Department of Transport & Main Roads (via Ipsos Pty Ltd)

Description: Following the completion of the South-East Queensland Travel Surveys in 2009 for Brisbane, the Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast, which served as the Before surveys for the SEQ TravelSmart evaluation study, Ipsos conducted the follow-up After surveys in July, August and September 2011. TUTI undertook the data entry and editing using techniques similar to those used in the 2009 surveys.

The format of the SEQTS11 questionnaires was similar to that adopted for the SEQTS09 surveys (to enable ease of comparison), but employed telephone pre-contact and mailout/mailback of questionnaires to a subset of the 2009 respondents who had chosen to continue in the study.  The THATS1011 surveys use the Speedit program (Survey Program for Entering and Editing Data Involving Travel), which had been used in recent surveys in Queensland, Melbourne and New Zealand.
