is a Director of TUTI. He has 40 years experience in various aspects of transport planning, transport modelling and transport data collection. He has worked in academia (at Monash, Melbourne, RMIT and Sydney Universities in Australia and at Cornell University in the USA). He has also worked in Government and in consulting. He is a recognised expert in the design, conduct and analysis of large-scale travel surveys, and is co-author of a leading text on Travel Survey Methods. As well as his activities in transport, Tony is also an accredited trainer and facilitator in Edward de Bono's methods of Lateral Thinking and 6 Hats Thinking.
In his spare time, Tony cruises on a Dutch Barge on the French Canals and plays in a steel pan band in Australia. He also grows eucalyptus trees on a number of plantations near Taggerty.
Dr. Rita Seethaler is a Director of TUTI. She has 25 years experience in transport planning, having worked in government in Switzerland for the Federal Statistics Office and the Bureau of Transport Studies. Before coming to Australia, she took a lead role in a trilateral project between France, Austria and Switzerland on the health effects of air pollution from road traffic. Since coming to Australia, she has continued her investigations into the environmental impacts of transport, and has completed PhD research into the application of the Principles of Persuasion to encourage sustainable transport behaviour.
In her spare time, Rita cruises on a Dutch Barge on the French Canals and directs several steel pan bands in Australia. She is also President of the Murrindindi Climate Network.
David J Richardson is Senior Data Analyst at TUTI He has 15 years experience in various aspects of transport planning, traffic engineering and transport data collection. He has worked in academia (at Melbourne University and RMIT University), Local Government and in consulting. While he is a Civil Engineer by training, he is also a very competent programmer, having written many programs for the collection and analysis of transport survey data.
As well as his activities in transport, David is also a member of the Australian Boomerang Team, and has competed at the last four World Boomerang Championships. He is also Treasurer and Public Officer for the Boomerang Association of Australia.
