Trend Analysis of Count Data
Project Description
This project uses data sets collected for another purpose to measure backround trends in travel patterns, and to detect changes in these patterns in areas subjected to specific transport policies. The data sets being used are:
- public transport ticket validations on trains, trams and buses collected by OneLink
- public transport ticket sales collected by Metlink
- traffic counts at signalised intersections operating within the SCRAM system, collected by VicRoads.
This project is being conducted in conjunction with household travel surveys (NESTS and MATS) being conducted in regions of Melbourne to measure travel behaviour changes over a period of time.
